Terrestrial Mobile Mapping

Ambercore's TITAN® is a revolutionary Mobile LIDAR scanning system that performs high speed data acquisition for corridor applications requiring high accuracy and dense data sets.

The TITAN® system incorp-orates Riegl’s LMS-Q210 terrestrial laser scanners. The Riegl lasers were selected because they have proven to be reliable, accurate, and robust, even in the most challenging conditions. This includes surveys of hundreds of miles of rugged roads in Afghanistan. The system’s positioning system is composed of a dual-frequency GPS receiver and a proprietary Inertial Navigation System.

Four Riegl LMS Q210 lasers make up the lidar engine of the TITAN® system. The four lasers are aligned when installed in the system, and have proven to be totally reliable and rugged. TITAN® has never experienced a laser failure or alignment problem in more than twoyears of operation on over 85 corridor projects in North America.

These rugged weatherproof sealed units allow TITAN® to successfully operate in dusty environmental conditions which would not be possible with other laser scanners.
